I often fancy myself as a long-haired, blazer-sporting rocker from the 1960s or 70s — think Marc Bolan, Jimmy Page, the guys from The Sweet, and Todd Rundgren. These guys knew how to achieve the perfect mix of frentic, rainbow-hued punk and natty British-style bespoke suiting.
I decided I would finally begin my own journey into the world of classically funked-up menswear with this latest look. I kept it pretty casual with a patterned button-down (a new release from Peter Pilotto’s collection for Target), an old 90s “seat-belt,” a leather tie necklace (what?!), and a smoky eye courtesy of my friend Melanie Harris’s new makeup line Fembot Cosmetics. But trust me, it’s only gonna get weirder from here…
