*I would like to preface this by saying that I was, in fact, snowed in all day yesterday…and had plenty of time to think about this.

Mascots- We all know them, and love them. They’re the official cheerleaders for many of our favorite products, teams, companies, (and in our case) even bands.

Disney has Mickey Mouse…Frosted Flakes has Tony the Tiger…Iron Maiden has Eddie……The Phillies have that f’ed up looking green thing…

So, why couldn’t Chevonne and The Fuzz have their own mascot?? It only seems fair.

While we were thinking up a title for our EP, tons of ideas were kicked around. The one that stuck (and ultimately became the name of the EP) was ‘Fire At Will’, which is one of Cree’s lyrics from ‘Burnout’.

The more we said the name, the more we loved it…but if said fast enough (which, after a few rounds of Jameson, would and did happen) the words began to blur together…

“Fire At Will”…

“Firrrreee At Will”…

“Firrrrreeeeaatt Will”…

“…Fire Rat Will”.

It was then pointed out just how silly a character Fire Rat Will would be – A street-wise, bad ass, gangly rat that (of course) shot fire from his fingertips.

Being the odd, artistic person that I am, while snowed in yesterday, I began to sketch this strange character.

Now, without further adieu…ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls, damen und herren…I give you:

Weather or not he becomes a permanent member of the C&TF family, I had a hilarious time creating him!
